Baltic Trophy - Overall Winner under IRC
Originally presented by Alan and Susan Green for a long distance race to Bayona. After leaving his post as RORC Racing Manager, Alan Green was involved in a great deal of race management in the Baltic. Alan is delighted that the Baltic Trophy is being used for the Roschier Baltic Sea Race.
In conjunction with the Baltic Trophy a special prize from official race supporter, the Finnish green energy generation provider Remoran will present a Wave 3 Hydrogenerator to the overall winner under IRC. Bobby Lowein Wheel - Monohull Line Honours
Presented to the RORC by Mrs R Lowein in 1981, the trophy was a highly regarded award for past performance racing classes in the Fastnet Race. Bobby Lowein was a well-known navigator who raced with Sir Max Aitken. Bobby was a real character and at the time a wooden wheel was an unusual trophy, which reflected his demeanour! Previous winners of the trophy include world famous Maxi yachts: Rothmans, Alexia, Longobarda and Leopard. The Bobby Lowein Wheel has been lovingly cherished at the RORC, waiting for a prestigious race to suit its significance - The Roschier Baltic Sea Race.

Joliette Trophy - Multihull Line Honours
Presented to the RORC in 1958 by Freddie Morgan and his crew, originally for the winner of the race between Britain and Scandinavia. In 1955 when Freddie was on the RORC Committee he wrote to the Committee and said: “I have seen a provisional offer of the use of an ‘electronic brain’ for working out ratings and preparing analyses etc,” By the start of the 1966 racing season all RORC ratings were calculated by computer! He would have been amazed at where the electronic world is now, but delighted that his trophy lives on.

A large number of youth crews are sailing on board boats in the Roschier Baltic Sea Race, including: Boudragon, I Love Poland, Stortebeker and Tokka-Lotta, among others.
